Thanks for visiting Windy City Community Church’s web site. I know that checking out a church can be a little scary. The fact that you decided to take a look at our church tells me that you are at a place in your life where you are thinking about God and your relationship to Him and what role faith plays in your life. That is a good place to be. For some of you, this is the first time you have considered any kind of “religious stuff” and I applaud you for taking the time to look at our website and I want to encourage you to continue on your search. We exist as a church because we came to the same point in our lives where you now find yourself, and we discovered the very real answers that we needed were found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We’re not perfect and we don’t claim to know it all, but we strive to be a community of regular people who have found the meaning, excitement and direction that makes life worth living.

Some others of you may have grown up going to church, only to lose interest as you became an adult. We hope that you will find Windy City a place where you can rekindle your faith. The road you may have been on might have been hard and we hope that we can be a place of comfort for you. Your experience with church in the past may have left you with a poor opinion of “organized religion”. Lucky for you, we’re not that organized! But we do seek to be a place of genuine people living in authentic relationships with each other, without phoniness or a super-spiritual facade. Maybe you are looking for that spark that you felt years ago but seems to have escaped you recently. We hope that by visiting our website, you begin to get the sense that we are a vibrant, joyous community of believers that doesn’t take ourselves too seriously, but that takes our faith very seriously.

But for whatever reason you decided to check us out, I’m really glad you did and hope you will come see us in person soon. We have a lot of exciting things happening in our church and we hope our website will answer some of your questions about us and give you an idea of the kind of church we are.
